Now in its 6th year, RioFest is Monte Rio's free, family-friendly music festival, hosted by The Friends of Monte Rio. On Saturday, June 20, 2026, the Monte Rio Amphitheater comes alive with live music, local food, community booths, and the kind of day that reminds you why the lower Russian River is such a special place to be.
RIOFEST IS FREE! NO TICKETS NECESSARY! ALL WELCOME!
RioFest's mission is to celebrate, foster, and strengthen the creativity, culture, and community of Monte Rio and the lower Russian River through a free, family-friendly music festival open to all.
What to Expect
RioFest runs 12–6pm at the Monte Rio Amphitheater, with live music from start to finish. Four headline acts anchor the main stage, with local musicians, DJs, and community performers filling the time in between. Bring a blanket or a chair and settle in for the day.
Beyond the music, the grounds fill with booths from local nonprofits, artisans, and small businesses, many of whom are the backbone of the lower Russian River community. It's a chance to discover who's doing good work in the area and support them directly. Kids' Korner at the far end of the amphitheater keeps younger attendees busy with games, face painting, snow cones, and popcorn. Food trucks are on site, including a Louisiana-style truck from a chef who recently appeared on Hell's Kitchen.

2026 Lineup
🎶 2026 Lineup
Spike Sikes & His Awesome Hotcakes
A six-piece North Bay outfit serving up blues-soaked, Van Morrison-influenced rock and roll with heavy drums and a sound big enough to shake the redwoods. The headliner. Don't be late.
The Okay Ultras
Three lead vocalists, one stage. The Okay Ultras bring together singers who have each fronted different bands and are performing together for the first time at RioFest. Expect pop-leaning originals alongside a few covers, with serious vocal firepower.
The Uninvited
A name that meant something in the alternative rock scene of the 1990s, and still does. The Uninvited are back, and they're bringing the songs that made them one of the most talked-about acts of that era and were named Best of the Bay Area in 2025 by Diablo Magazine.
Subprime Mortgage
The 2026 Battle of the Bands winner, chosen by community vote. Indie, low-key, and not to be underestimated. A discovery waiting to happen.
Jackson Hagele
Jackson is a rising young artist from Healdsburg, California, whose musical journey began when he picked up his dad’s old guitar and started teaching himself classic favorites.
Blending raw emotion with a growing musical curiosity, Jackson draws early inspiration from iconic bands like Nirvana, Metallica, and AC/DC, while his evolving sound reflects the influence of artists such as Radiohead, Mac Miller, and Miles Davis. The result is a unique mix of alternative, rock, and introspective tones that feel both fresh and deeply rooted.
KJ Bluesman
A lifelong Monte Rio local, KJ went from spending summers here to calling Monte Rio home full-time. After high school, he picked up the guitar and never looked back — performing with various bands throughout the East Bay and developing a deep love for rock, blues, country, and folk music.
Kevin grew up on radio, bringing a classic, soulful sound shaped by decades of musical influence. He’s also played the legendary Pink Elephant three times!
